Rolex
Daytona
The Rolex Daytona reference 16520 from 1989 marks the beginning of the iconic Zenith-powered Daytona era and was the first automatic chronograph in the model's history. Fitted with Rolex's Calibre 4030, derived from the Zenith El Primero movement, it represented a major technical advancement over its manually wound predecessors. Early production examples, like this one, featuring the rare white "floating dial" are especially desirable among collectors due to their limited production and association with the first years of the reference. Preserved examples with original components and strong provenance are considered some of the most collectible and valuable Zenith-era Daytonas.
